Marriott Resort & Spa,Miri

I have been very lazy to update my blog because tired of working. I know I should continue my post in Kota Kinabalu, unfortunately I format my laptop and I forget to backup my photos :( Well, I need to be hardworking to update my blog ^-^  Today post is about Marriott hotel in Miri. I love the environment here.

Well, Acura is goldcard member for Marriott so we get free breakfast for 2 ^-^ 

Le Meridian Hotel & Suang Tain Seafood Restaurant @ Kota Kinabalu

I travel to Kota Kinabalu (KK) on early of March with Acura. Feel excited when Acura told me about this & of course I need to do my research before I go ^^ On the 1st day, we check in to Le Meridian Hotel where it located at the city. The hotel is in strategic location where you can find shopping places, market and easy access to food.

KK is famous with cheap seafood so you definitely must tried. You can see seafood restaurant everywhere but of course you need to choose the best! A taxi uncle recommend us a Seafood Restaurant named Shuang Tain located at Warisan Kampung Air foodcourt. Is just 5 min walking distance from our hotel

This restaurant located at food court but all the stall are selling seafood. Suang Tain located at the end of the foodcourt & you can see the place is crowded. There are a large variety of seafood you can choose which are kept in the aquariums. Some I not ever see before such as the photo below

Well, it really take some time to choose. Price for each kilogram is stated & they will show you the weight and charge according.

I have no idea what fish is this but the meat is juicy & sweet -AWESOME!

Is Juicy & tender with gravy butter sauce- yum yum! Thumb up for this!!

The total bill for all the dishes above is about RM170 where is actually worth it. I don't think you will be able to have all the above in a cheaper price in West Malaysia. They give us their name card and there are 10% when you visit again.

Chop Jing Chew - Brunei

Each time I in Miri, place that I definitely must go is Brunei. The journey take around 2 hours where is almost same like the time to Malacca from KL.

We are going to have our breakfast here, Chop Jing Chew Gadong.

This shop is a great bakery or restaurant in Brunei that has been around since 1946. Their specialty is Roti Kuning Kahwin

Every bun that served are nicely toasted with light crisps on the edges and nice fluffy bun. The bun was yellow and served with thick creamy butter and kaya

OMG! it had a nice filling of thick slice of butter and kaya

Besides famous with their fluffy bread, they are famous with Seama Kuey Teow.

Special noodles with their mixture soy sauce and topped with fried fish. Thumb up for this ^^

Do have a try at this shop when you are heading to Brunei

Time past fast is already in the month of February. I suppose to post this on 1st January but due to my laziness i have drag it for 1 month! Last year I spend my Christmas and New Year in Miri with Acura. On 1st day of 2012 we plan a trip to Brunei for Sushi ^-^

Super satisfied with the salmon feast & I don't think you can eat those at a cheaper price in Malaysia. Well after that we are heading to another place in Brunei. Want to know where are we going? Stay tuned with me ^^

Dessert Master @ Miri

Miri here I come again ^-^ Reach here on Christmas day to meet Acura. After dinner, we went for 'tong sui' (dessert) at Boulevard.

It look ugly but the taste is good ^^

Mango Sago Pamelo (RM6) @ 'Yong Ji Gum Lo'
I love the taste but they said ok ok only.

Overall, the dessert is good and environment is comfortable. I see people chatting and gathering here. If you are craving for dessert in Miri, do have a try at Dessert Master.
