All about Miri, Sarawak

Last year my bf is doing his internship at Miri, Sarawak ( read his blog here)
During my semester break on May, I decided to pay him a visit. Thank to AirAsia, now everyone can fly ^-^

It took 2 hours to reach Miri and since travel alone this time it make me feel so bored
but I know I able to meet him once I reach & of course he going to be my tour guide. Supposed I will reach in the morning around 10am but due to flight delay I reach there at 12pm. (Airasia should improve this service) He bring me to eat Miri famous food, Kolok Mee for lunch. You can see most of the stall are selling this. Kolok mee is something like wan tan mee we eat, it serve with minced pork & char siew. I don like it because is oil.

1st destination we went to the Petroleum Science Museum at Canada Hill. The entrance is free & you will see the Grand Old Lady

After a short visit, we proceed to the symbol of Miri - Seahorse. I really no idea that is symbol for Miri until I do some research about Miri before I come. Love this lighthouse

On the next day, we have a trip to Brunei. Only one thing I can conclude, the trip is so boring and nothing at all.

Since there are not much place to visit anymore, my bf suggest to visit crocodile farm on the 3rd day. When I heard that suggestion, I was mumbling "GOSH!! I Hate Crocodile"

I really don want to go in when we reach but seem my bf is interested & forced myself to go. The place is so quiet and only 6 person ( including us) inside here. You can see bats, monkey, bear & etc here but the major attraction is crocodile.

He suggest that we climb up the wooden platform which look old & unstable. If unfortunate accident happen, you going to be lunch for the crocs. (think too much) LOL

crocs

Crocs is such an inactive creature that lie without moving. I take a small stone & throw inside but no movement at all.
I even scare of lizard & now the crocs is like a big giant lizard for me. I was happy when my bf said we are leaving. I was smiling when heard that & didn't feel like staying any longer. Just before the exit, there was a crocodile shop where you can choose 1 or 2 souvenir as a gift if you want.

On the 4th day, I bought some pepper and rattan basket as souvenirs before flying back to KL.

Flying back to KL alone again. Goodbye to Miri & my dearest....

You seem like complaining so much when you're in Miri, Sarawak. Each place has their own attraction, you just gonna accept it. XD

everything in Miri is good just I don like the crocodile farm because I scare this kind of animal. I guess people will like it too but not me. XD

This is a fantastic view of the situation, I don’t think I’ve quite seen it from that perspective before.
